Out here on the battlefield,
All we know is pain,
Soldiers marching with guns in arms,
With nothing left to gain.
Rifles pop; sending men into shock,
And these wars leave us insane,
Dignitary; noble sacrifices,
All is done in vain.
Just a warrior left on the Earth,
Where actions aren’t worth dying for,
Open eyes; marching into the fire.
Leaving dog-tags behind.
Save your sorrow; for there is no tomorrow,
Take up your walking can,
There’s no rest for a soldier at best,
Now head out into the rain.
