Screw Attack: Death Battles??

What’s going on guys, my name is Eric and I’m here to give my thoughts about Screw Attack’s Death Battles. Many of you may know Wiz and Boomstick from Screw Attack on youtube or screwattack.com. Many of you may know their most famous death battles: Mario vs. Sonic, Master Chief vs. Doomguy, Vegeta vs. Shadow, Link vs. Cloud, Starscream vs. Rainbow Dash (my personal favorite). However, I’d like to bring up their newest death battle, the one everyone was anxious for: Goku vs. Superman. Two LEGEN- wait for it – DARY super heroes of our time battling it out to see who is the absolute strongest once and for all. The outcome of this battle not only shocked me and the other nerds, but probably more than 75% of the fans who watch death battle.

Ok, so let’s start of with the stats of The Man Of Steel: Superman. Our childhood superhero from the planet Krypton, Superman. Having the power to absorb sun radiation to increase his power, being able to vibrate his body to make himself invisible, being able to see people moving faster than light, being able to block out anyone who tries to read his mind and has no limits to his powers. However, due to the fact that Superman draws power from the Sun, if he is out of reach for the Sun to give him power, or is fighting at night, or even when he uses his heat vision, he will lose his power faster and can be dealt significant damage if his battle is drawn out too long. Another point I’d like to make is his weakness, Kryptonite, or as I like to call it, a ROCK, from his home planet of Krypton. There are no traces of Kryptonite on Earth except the few that had crashed with Superman. Even though he may be the Man of Steel, that did not prevent his encounter with Doomsday, who managed to kill, excuse me, who managed to put Superman in a “healing coma.”

So, now let’s move over to our other favorite hero: Son Goku. As a baby, Son Goku managed to escape death when he was sent to Earth to annihilate the human race. However, due to an unfortunate accident, Son Goku, or Kakarot, fell down a gorge and bumped his head, completely changing his personality as a Saiyan. Since then, Son Goku has been walking the path of good. His fighting style consists of martial arts, Ki energy, and the ability to transform into the LEGEN- wait for it- DARY Super Saiyan. Addition to his Super Saiyan, Son Goku can go further beyond to higher levels, which include Super Saiyan 2, Super Saiyan 3, and his ultimate level, Super Saiyan 4. At Super Saiyan 4, Son Goku’s power increases by times 4000, or 4000 fold. Adding to his arsenal, the ability tomanipulate Ki. Most powers include Ki blast’s, being able to fly, sensing other people’s energy, reading minds, his trump card (before his Super Saiyan transformation against the maniacal Frieza) the Kiao Ken, his Instant Transmission, and his signatures move, the Kamehame blast and the Dragon Fist. A point of fact that was missed, as a Saiyan, Son Goku gets stronger every time he recovers from near death, or is returned to life from death. However, his greatest weakness would be his Saiyan pride of wanting to fight someone at their fullest potential. This, in turn, is also one of his greatest strengths. By allowing his opponents fight at their fullest, it also allows Son Goku to push past his limit.

So with that being said, let’s get down to business. Before Screw Attack uploaded their death battle, people have wondered who would win. Does the Man of Steel have what it takes to defeat an opponent who gets STRONGER DURING and even AFTER a fight, or has the Legendary Super Saiyan finally met his match? For those who have not seen Screw  Attack’s death battle of these two super heroes, you can watch it here. Now, as for the outcome of this death battle, which had shocked me to a point where I wanted to smash my own head, Superman had won. Don’t get me wrong, when I was younger, Superman was one of my heroes growing up. But, when I saw this death battle, I felt like I died inside. This battle could not be easily calculated the way Wiz and Boomstick made it to be. They left out quite a few important variables that would have shown a different victor. But I won’t let my opinion be the judge here, I’ll leave that to the people. Please vote for who you think should have won.
